“Zack, it’s been an hour! Get out of the bathroom this minute young man” Your voice yelled out, as you banged on the only bathroom in the small house.
Footsteps were heard approaching you and you turned to see your husband walk into the hallway to watch with an amused look upon his face. You scowled at the blonde man and rolled your eyes at him.
“Awww! But mum, I can’t rush perfection.” A teenage boy whined, opening the door and emerging from the bathroom. He was the spitting image of his father only he had your eyes. When you didn't reply the teenage boy turned to his father. “Tell her dad.”
You shifted your eyes to rest on Cloud as he spoke up. “He’s got a point honey, we can’t rush the delicate procedure of having our shower and gelling our hair.” He stated with a smirk.
You held back the urge to face-palm herself before sighing and shaking your head. "You're meant to be on my side!” You exclaimed, smacking your husband's bicep.
Cloud held his hands up defensively and grinned “Okay, okay! Your mother has a point,” He said, turning to Zack “An hour is far too long, it only takes me 45 minutes all together.” He stated.
This time you rolled your eyes. “What your father means is that spending an hour in the bathroom shows that you may be a bit… feminine.” You concluded, having tried to find an appropriate word.
There was a large gap of silence between the family of three and you wondered if you had upset your son.
“What’s wrong with being feminine?” Zack huffed, folding his arms across his chest and pouting at you. You couldn't help but sigh in relief and shake your head lightly, a small smile graced your lips.
“Nothing, I did marry your father after all.” You tease, turning to glance at Cloud with a smirk on your lips.
Zack took one look at his fathers facial expressions before doubling over in laughter.
“What’s that suppose to mean?” Cloud states, getting into a huff.
“Well it’s true, you both spend almost an hour in the bathroom, worried about how your hair will look,” You giggled, unfazed by your son’s howling laughter or your husband's death glare before continuing “I guess it’s true what they say.”
“And what would that be” Cloud replied through gritted teeth.
“Like father, like son.” You grinned, ducking under Cloud's arm as you dodged away from his grasp, laughing, the males taking chase after you.
The instant Cloud had chosen to forgive himself and move on with his life was the day his world started moving again, letting go off his anger and sadness had allowed him find his own happiness.
His own family.
In the end, that's all that mattered.

Cloud Strife x Reader
A/N: Have mercy on me, this is my first fanfiction ever. I really admire how people can write their own so I’m taking ago at it, and since Cloud is one of my favorites I thought he was the best one to start with! I hope you enjoy, I know my writing is a little rusty lol.
Also, I recommend listening to ‘Human’ by Daughter, I think it pairs really well with this one. ;)
It was Friday, you stayed after hours in Seventh Heaven to finish some paperwork for Tifa.
Well, you originally planned on doing your work, but your mind began to wonder.
‘This isn’t like me.’ You thought

Delicately Cloud x Reader
“Come on Cloud, please don't be so reclusive. There are a ton of people out there, dancing, drinking and having a good time. I really doubt anyone's going to be looking at you.” The last fifteen minutes of your night had been spent trying to get Cloud out of the men's bathroom. It was less than an hour until the New Year began and you were determined not to be in a washroom when the clock struck midnight. “You're being ridiculous you know.”
Cloud weakly shook his head. No amount of your begging was making a difference. “Go on without me. I'm sure Reno will dance with you.”

Cloud Strife rarely said what was on his mind, and even more so, hardly ever expressed it on his face, except his glowing blue eyes. This time, however, he couldn't help but feel a twitch in his eyebrows, as he ate his breakfast of oatmeal and raisins with some butter toast. A twinge of disappointment with a mixture of confusion and something along the lines of joy traveled throughout his body
but why? Disappointment? Confusion? And joy...? What a strange combination this was. It was something important; he felt it was something he should have remembered but, he couldn't pin the
